An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King, at the Parish of St. Clement Danes
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the Fifteenth day of october in the Sixteenth Year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain,
France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas Prickard< no role > , Gentleman,
Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City and Liberty, on View of the Body of
Zachary Pickering< no role > then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of Thomas
Elliston
< no role > , Joseph Hawkins< no role > , John Lantier< no role > , Duncan Campbell< no role > , James Holl< no role > ,
Daniel Cudworth< no role > , Joseph Lawrence< no role > , Bushel Manders< no role > , Thomas Walker< no role >
Joseph Chamberlayne< no role > John Prison< no role > & Jafob Siedal< no role > good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said Zachary Pickering< no role > came to
h is Death, do upon their Oath Say, That the said Zachary Pickering< no role > being
charged in Execution and in the Custody of Thomas Mills< no role > a
Sheriffs Officer at his House in Shire Lane in the Parish
aforesaid within the Liberty and County aforesaid on the
Fifteenth day of October in the Year aforesaid, at the said House
within the Parish Liberty and County aforesaid, departed this
Life by a Fit of an Apoplexy or other sudden Visitation of God,
and not by any hurt or injury received from the said Thomas

of the said Jurors. In Witness whereof as well the said
Coroner as the said Thomas Elliston< no role > Foreman of the said
Jurors, on the behalf of himself and the rest of his
Fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition set their
Hands and Seals, the Day Year and Place first above written
