the way, says that the said John Jones< no role > Deceds Son
immediately came in again and said that the Man
had fallen down the Area, Says that two Watchman
were immediately called, who went down into the
Area with this Dept. when they found the Deced
across the Iron Rails or Faikes there [..] one of the Rails
having entered into & being then in the Deced's right side about
four Inches, Says that the Watchman with some
Assistance lifted the Deced off the Iron Rail, and
laid him down upon a Dresser in the House where
a Surgeon dressed the Wound, but said that he believes
the Deced could not live, the Deced being speechless
and unable to move, Says that the Deced was sent
that Night to the Westmr. Hospital. And this Dept.
says that the Iron Rails to the Street before Depts Shop are not
yet put up, and that these was, not any Fence
there on Tuesday Night last when Deced Accidentally
fell deced into the Area.
