took of his Coat and seeing a piece of Deced's Shirt in
the River about TwentyYardsfour from the Shore Dept. went in
and got hold of Deced and pulled him to the Shore, the
River in that part being between two and three feet deep
Says that Deced appeared to be dead but not quite Cold
That he was laid upon his face upon the Ground and rubbed
with Salt, and some Brandy put into his Month. but
Dept. perceived no Signs of life in the Deced.

Mathias Cresswell< no role > of Queen Street in the Parish of St
Saviour Southwark Hatter on his Oath Saith That he has
known the Deced about four Years, and saw him almost
every day, That the Deced was naturally of a chearful
Disposition, but that he appeared to be Melancholy and
low Spirited for four or five months last past, Says that
about two months ago the Deced came to Dept. and
told him that he was ruined and undone, but did not
say on what Account, but appeared to be discontented
in his Mind, and Dept. believes that he was at times
Disordered in his Senses.

William Stephens< no role > of Worcester Street Southwark Tide Waiter
on his Ooth saith, That he has Known Cornelius Severs< no role > the Deced
about four Years, and saw him at a Publick House in said
Street almost every Evening, Says that the Deced has
appeared to be Melancholy and low Spirited at hims for
twelve months last past particularly the last two months
and Dept. believes that the Deced was at times Disordered
in his Senses
