Informations taken this Ninth day of
May 1771 at the Parish of St. Margaret within
the Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching the death of Thos.
Forbes
< no role > lying dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County.

John Cartwright Dickinson< no role > House Surgeon at the
Westmr Hospital in the Parish of St. Margaret Westmr .
on his Oath saith That on Tuesday Night last (May 7th.)
about half on four after Ten Thomas Forbes< no role > the Deced
was brought to said Hospital as on Accident said to
have reced a hurt in Durham Yard , Upon Examinary
the Deced he found a Wound on his rightside between
the fifth and Sixth Ribs Through which Dept. introduced
his finger, and felt a part of the Lungs torn, Deced
Evacuated much Air an Fotted Blood out of the
Wound, Says that the Deced appeared to be in Liquor
Spoke something imperfect, and died about half
hour past twelve the same Night, And Dept. says
that the Wound abovementioned was the cause of
his Death.

John Jones< no role > of Adam Street in the Parish of St. Martin
in the Fields Pastry Cook on his Oath saith that on Tuesday
Night last (May 7th.) about half hour after nine this
Dept. being in his Parlour behind his Shop when
somebody knocked at his Door and on his Maid
Servant asking what he wanted the Deced asked
for Mr. Arnold, upon which the Maid told him that he
lived at the second door from the Corner, Says That
John Jones< no role > the Deptrs. Son hearing what the Maid said
and knowing that one Mr. Allen lived in the House where
the Maid had directed Deced, stepped out of the Shop
to the Door, called to Deced and told him that Mr Arnold
lived the last House but one on the left handside of the
