Be it Remembered that at the
General Quarter Sessions of the Peace of our Sovereign
Lord the King held at the Guildhall in King Street
Westminster in the County of Middx on the 18th day of
October in the Year of our Lord 1798 before Nathaniel
Conant

Esqrs . and others their Fellows Justices of our Lord the now
King assigned to keep the peace in and for the Liberty of the
Dean & Chapter of the Collegiate Church of Saint Peter
Westmr. the City Borough and Town of Westmr. in the
County of Middx and St. Martin Le Grand London
and also to hear and determine divers felonies
Trespasses & other Misdemeanors committed in the same
Liberty came one William Stewart< no role > of Piccadilly in the
Parish of Saint James within the Liberty of Westminster
in the County of Middlesex Tinman in his own proper
person and then and there on his Corporal Oath gave
the said Court of Session so there then holden as afsd.
to understand and be informed that he the said William
Stewart was possessed of a certain piece of Ground situate
on the South side of the Street therefore called Shug
Lane but then called Titchborne Street in the Parish of
Saint James Westmr. Afsd. by Virtue of a certain Sease or
dernise thereof from the crown which said piece of
Ground with the messuage or Tenemt. then lately being
thereon but which had been then lately taken down &
were then lately in the Occupation of Francis Goodwin< no role >
Cheesemonger and which piece of Ground adjoined to &
lay intermixed in some parts thereof without being
separated by any party wall on the South side thereof
with an House or building situate in Piciadilly afsd
which had been devised by the last will & Testament
of Thomas Allen< no role > deceased unto Elizth. Allen< no role > , Mary< no role > the
Wife of Charles Robert Ellis< no role > Harriett< no role > the Wife of Robt.
