Adam Bowns< no role > of the Parish of Saint James Westmr. in the County
of Middlesex Grocer and Rosalinda Phillips< no role > of the same Widow
Spinster severally Make Oath and Say And first this Deponent
Adam Bowns< no role > for himself Saith That on or about the seventh Day
of September last he this Deponent together with One Mr John
Birchall became Bail before Saunders Welch< no role > Esqr . for the said
Defendant Appearance at the then next Quarter Sessionof the
for the City and Liberty of Westminster to Answer the Complaint
of the said Prosecutrix Julia Chee his Sister And both
these Deponents Say that the said Defendant is a
Gentleman's Servant and that in the beginning of the
Month of October last and before the Session at which
the said Defendant was bound over to Appear the said
Deft left London as these Deponents are informed and
which they verily believe to be true and went with
Mr. Murray his Master to the Island of Madaira And
this Deponent Rosalinda Phillips further Saith That the
said Defendant is expected to return to England in see
Months time or the reabouts the said Defendant before his said
departure from London having informed this Deponent that
he should be in England at or about that time
