County of Middlesex Doctor of Physick David Middleton< no role > of Burlington gardens Surgeon -
General to his Majesty< no role > 's Forces, William Trotter< no role > of the Parish of St: Paul Covent garden on the said
Liberty Surgeon and Thomas Tomkyns< no role > of the same Place Surgeon Severally make Oath as follows
And first the said William Trotten< no role > and Thomas Tomkyns< no role > on their Oath say that they have
Attended James Carlisle< no role > (late one of the Constables of the said Parish of St: Paul Covent garden for
Assaulting and Wounding of whom the said Defendants stand Committed by James Frazer< no role > This name instance is in set 3480. Esqr .)
from the Twenty ninth day of August last and that upon their first Attendance on him they
found a large Wound on the back part of his Shoulder and another Occasioned by a Stabb of a
Sword a little above the Nipple of his right Breast, which caused a great Effusion of Blood, and
that in a few hours afterwards they found the same Attended with one Dangerous Symptoms, and
Verily belived that the said Wound on his Breast had Penetrated into the Cavity of it, and that
in a few days afterwards the bad Symptoms Increasing, and the said James Carlisle< no role > growing
delirious and very weak, they thought it Necessary to call into the [..] Assisstance the others Dept
Doctor Ross, and this Deponent Doctor David Ross< no role > for himself saith that he hath Attended the
said James Carlisle< no role > ever since he was Called in as aforesaid and hath Prescribed diven Medicines
