Pursuant to the Order of Referrence hereunto annexed Wee Thomas Cothurst
Gustavus Sheldon< no role > , and Nathaniel Blacker< no role > by Esqr [..] their of his
Maties Justices of the Peace for the Liberty of Westmr . named in the said Order do hereby
certifie that wee have viewed the House of Correccon for this Liberty and taken
an Account of what repairs are wanting to be done in and about the same and
had the Assistance of an able Workman thereupon and do find that all the Reese
of the dwelling House and of the long Room over and adjourning to the Gateway
there is very much out of repair and must be new ripped and that the Rasters
plates and leaden Gutters belonging to the same are very defective and ought
to be made good and wee compute the said Cileing so to be now ripped to
amount to Seven and Twenty Square and that the said ought to be due
with good tiles and large Oaken hath and good nails in the most durable
manner and that the Cileing over Several of the Wards and Out houses there
are also out of repair and the Chimneys of the said Houses and other Brickwell
there are defective, and that there wants plaistering Fencing and paleing
belonging to the said House of Correccon to be repaired amended and made
good with other deserts and necessary repairs of Carpenters and Bricklayers
work to be done there and wee compute the whole charge thereof to amount
to the sume ofeightysixty Poundsto make good the said defects and put the same
Premise in good and sufficient repair with other incident charges All which
wee Submit to this Court Etc Dated under our hands this eighteenth day of
May Anno Din 1720 and in the Sixth year of the Reigne of his Maty
King George Etc
