the present Lease thereof will expire at the Old Yearly rent of
£4. tax free in Consideration of a Fine of £60. And his putting
the premisses into substantial repairs at his own Charge.

We have agreed with Edward Lambeth< no role > to Grant him a Lease
of a House in Harp Row late in the tenure of Alexander Pyot< no role >
for 21. Years from Lady day 1729. when the Lease thereof expir'd
At the Old yearly rent of £4. tax free in Consideration of a Fine of
£60. And of his laying out other £60. in Substantial Repairs.

Thos. Stedwell< no role > }


We have Agreed with Thomas Stedwell< no role > to grant him a
Lease of a House in St. Thomas's Parish formerly two Houses
then and now held by Anne Job< no role > for 21. Years from Midsumer 1731
when the two present Leases thereof will expire at the Yearly rent
of £4. tax free in Consideration of a Fine of Fifty Pounds and his
putting the premises into substantial repair at his own Charge.

Wm. Drinkwater }


We have agreed with William Drinkwater< no role > to grant him a Lease
of a House in Fleet Lane known by the Sign of the Black lyon
for 21. Years from Christmas 1729 when the present Lease
thereof will expire at the Yearly rent of five Pounds Tax free
in Consideration of a Fine of £145. And he to put the premisses
into Substantial repair at his own Charge.

We directed the Clerk of this Hospital to bring an Action
of Ejectment against Evan Pugh< no role > and his wife Tennants of
the Bowling Green House at Hackney for recovery of the
possession thereof upon breach of the Covenants of their
Lease And Judgment has been obtained for the Hospital
upon a Tryall but a Writt of Error has been brought thereupon
by the Assignees of the said Pughs Estate he being a
Bankrupt for delay of Execution And a Bill in Chancery
hath also been preferred by them against the Governors.
of this Hospital to which we have Answered.

Hospital Marks
Ordered to be
set on every House }


We having Considered the great Inconveniencys
attending the Hospital Estate by the want of Marks on
many of their Houses We have Order'd Marks to be cast
and directed that one be fix'd to every individual House
belonging to this Estate within the Bills of Mortality.

Benedict Ithell< no role > Esqr .


We have agreed with Benedict Ithell< no role > Esqr . the present
Tennant to grant him a Lease of four Houses in the Little
Old Baily in the Several Occupations of Mr Stone Mr Mills
Mr Fenn and Mr Smith for 21. Years from Christmas 1730.
when the present Lease will expire At the Yearly rent
of £12. in Consideration of a Fine of £80. and of his laying
out £100. in Substantial repairs.

The Lease of a House in Harp Row late in the occupation
of Mr Page being expired and no offer having been made to us for the
taking a Lease thereof which we thought sufficient And the same
being much out of repair We have therefore caused the said House
to be put into substantial repair at the Charge of this Hospital.

A fire lately happening at Wapping whereby two of the Houses
belonging to this Hospital were held under two several
