of seven old Houses in Black and White Court in the Old Baily now in the
tenure of Mr. Sayer for 51. Years from Michaelmas 1730. when the present
Lease thereof will expire At the Yearly rent of £15. tax free in Consideration
at a Fine of £50. He is to pulldown all the said Seven Houses and build
four new Substantial Houses on the Ground.

Courts held


We have caused Courts to be held for the Mannours of Denham
Durdant Lynsters and Masworth in the Counties of Hertford and Bucks
and also the Hospital Farmes there and the Farme called Rabbs farme
at Hillingdon to be view'd and the Committee who went on that occasion have
made a Report in writing of the State Condition and value of those Estates.

Fall of Timber


We have Ordered a Fall to be made of Timber at our Farme at Hastingleigh
in Kent being fit for sale which hath been accordingly Sold and Produced
£60.12.3 clear of all Charges.

We have agreed with Mr. John Peachey< no role > to grant him a Lease of the House
wherein he now dwells in Pater noster Row now held under Thomas Jennings< no role >
and Sarah< no role > his wife under a Lease which will expire at Christmas 1730.
together with the House next adjoyning thereto late in the occupation of
Thomas Cook< no role > for 21. Years from the determination of the said present Lease
at the Yearly rent of £48. Tax free He to enter immediately upon the
House late Cooks To hold from Christmas 1728 at £18. rent till the Comence in
of the said new Lease He is to put the said two Houses into substantial
repair at his own charge and to have 40s. P Ann abated of the rent if he
quitts the Cellar under Mr Farrows Shop.

We have agreed with Thomas Freeman< no role > to grant him a Lease of a
House in Fleet Lane called the two hammer Smiths now held by Joans
Symonds
< no role > under a Lease which will expire at Lady day 1729. for 21. Years
from the expiration of the said present Lease at the Yearly rent of £10.
tax free in Consideration of a Fine of £40. and of his laying out £100. in
repairs if occasion shall so require but he is not to lay out less than £80.

Barraty

We have Agreed with Bartholomew Barratty< no role > to lett him the New
House on the North side of the Foregate of this Hospital late in the
occupation of John Ayray< no role > At the Yearly rent of £52.10.tax free from
Christmas 1728. at will on Six months notice to be given on either side
for quitting the same And in Consideration of the Poverty of the said
Ayray who failed and is reduced to very low Circumstances We have
upon his earnest application remitted him a Quarters rent being £10.

We have Agreed with John Cambden< no role > the present Tennant of a
House in Newgate Market to grant him a Lease of the said House
for 21. Years from Christmas 1730. when the present Lease thereof
will expire with an Exception of part of a Cellar under Mr. Howards
House there in the occupation of John Page< no role > at the Yearly rent of
£30. tax free And the said Cambden is to put the premisses into
Substantial repair at his own Charge.

James Guy< no role > our eldest Beadle being lately dead We have chosen
John Smith< no role > to be one of the Beadles of this Hospital.

We have agreed with William Bonsey< no role > to lett him a Lease of
a House in Harp Row being the sign of the Blew Ball in the
tenure of Humfreys Cole< no role > for 21. Years from Lady day 1730. when
