for ever in the Nature of a Free Chappell in the Strutest Sence and not Subject
to any Visitacon Archiepiscopal Episcopal or Archidiaconal whatsoever It is
Ordered That the Gates and Fence of the said Ground be taken down and the
Ground laid open as formerly and made use of for the Burialls of the Officers and
patients Dying in this Hospl. without paying any Fees to the said Parishoners
until further Order and Mr Treasurer is desired to See this Order put in Execucon

And as to the Gratuities mentioned in the said Report for Dr. Plumptre
Mr. Tanner and our Steward the same were Ordered to be paid by Mr. Treasurer

And the Peticon of Mr Deputy Stamper and others of our Tennants in Finch
Lane , and Thread needle Street also mentioned in the said Report is Referred
back to the Grand Comittee who are impowered by this Court to Act therein as
they shall think way be best for the Service and Advantage of this Hospl.

Mr. Trears Accompt for the Year Ending at Lady Day 1722.

Eleven New Members were Chosen upon the Grand Comittee vizt.

having been Three Years on the Grand Committee and of Micajah

And a Mocon being made That a President of this Hospital might
be chosen in the Room of our late Worthy President Sr : Thomas Abney< no role >
Deced This Court thereupon Proceeded to the Election of a President
accordingly Mr. Treasurer being in the Chair.

The Right Honble. Sr. William Stewart< no role > Knt . Lord Mayor and all the
rest of the Alderman (save such who are Presidents of other Hospitals)
were Severally put in Nomination And Sr. Gilbert Heathcote< no role > Knight &
Alderman was Chosen President of this Hospital.

Whereupon it is Ordered that Mr. Treasurer Mr. Raper And Mr Du Cane
be a Committee immediately to wait upon Sr Gilbert Heathcote< no role > and
Acquaint him with the Choice and entreat his acceptance of the said
Place And that he would be pleased to Dine with the Governours this
Day at the Hospital.

The said Committee went accordingly to the said Sr . Gilbert Heathcote< no role >
who was pleased to Accept of the said Place of President and he
came and Dined with the Governors. at the Hospital

Memorandum That upon the Opening of this Court.

Mr. Treasurer in his Place Acquainted the Court That Sr. Thomas Abney< no role > our late President
Departed this Life the 6th. of February last And that the Grand Committee had
appointed a General Court to be held this Day for Choosing another President
and other Business Which being Summoned accordingly Sr. William Stewart< no role >
sent for our Clerk on Monday last to know by whose Order the Court was Appointed
He informed his Lordp. it was by Order of the Grand Committee who called a Court
in like manner upon the Death of Sr. Robert Clayton< no role > our former President who
Sr. Thomas Abney< no role > was Chosen to Succeed him His Lordp. was pleased to Urge That the Lord
