And we thought it very necessary and accordingly have made a paire
of Staires with other convernicecies at the East End of the Wards in
the Quadrangle by the old Engine House for the better accomodacon
of the poor patients there; And we have alsoe ordered a building of
Brick to be made at the East end of the Womens Wards in the
furthermost Court of this Hospitall for a Swetting Roome and a
Roome with other conveniencies for performance of the operacon
of cutting of the Stone within this House.

And lastly we doe humbly acquaint this Court That
We being highly sensible of the great respets and kindnesse that
the Right Woppll: Sr : Robert Clayton< no role > Knight Alderman and
President of this Hospll: has and does upon all Occacons shew to this
House Aswell by his haveing been [..] a very great a Benefactor, as in
his Advise and Councell in alley ofthe Affaires relateing to this
Hospitall Therefore as an Acknowledgement of the same It is our
Opinion that his Statue be set up in some convenient place about
this Hospitall for perpetuateing the Memory of soe great and
Countifull a Benefacton

All which nevertheless we humbly sumitt to the grave Judgements
and Considreacons of this Court

Order about St: Robt:
Claytons Statue


Which Report was Approved and Confirmed by this
Court and ordered to be entred amongst the proceedings of this
Court and to be observed in all Things as therein is menconed
And upon reading the said Ropert It is unanimously Resolved
That Sr: Robert Claytons Statue be set up at the Charge of this
House and it is referred to the said Comittee to doe the same in
such place and in such manner as they shall think fitt

And the Finishing of the present New buildings and the pulling
down of the old Wards is alsoe referred to the care and management
of the same Comittee
