1686 upon a Treaty then had by the said Comittee with Joseph Ward< no role >
Concerning a new Lease to be made to him the said Joseph Ward< no role > or to
his Executr Admors or Assignes of a messuage or Tenemt: and also a
peice of garden ground and shedd upon some part thereof with the
Appurts scituate in the parish of St: Thomas Southwark holden by the
said Joseph Ward< no role > by vertue of an Jnor: of Lease thereof now inspected
bearing date the 18th: day of March 1658 Made by the then Governours
of the possions revenews and goods of this hospitall to the said Joseph
Ward
< no role > for a Terme not yett expired Itt was agreed betweene the said
Comitt & the said Joseph Ward< no role > that he his Execr: Admore or Asss:
should pay into the hands of the Trear or Clerk of this Hospitall for
the time being for the use of this hospitall the sume of Fifty pounds
on or before the 24th: day of June then next comeing for a lease agreed
to be made inconvenient time afterwards to him the said Joseph
Ward
< no role > or to his Execurs: Admrs: or assignes of the prmisses by Indr: for a
terme of One and twenty yeares to Comence at the Expiration of the
said Former Terme at and under the [..] rent of three pounds and
six shillings per Ann: and reservation of 20s: upon every alienation
of the premisses as are reserved in and by the said FormerIndenture
Indenture of Lease and all other Covenants and Condicons (Mutatis
Mutandis) as are in the said former Indenture of Lease conteined

This Court Ordered that a Lease be forthwith made
to the said Joseph ward< no role > the Execur: Admors or assignes of the said
Bargained prmisses according to the said agreemt: & that in convenient
time the Trustees Appointed by his Matr: Letters Patients for the letting
and diposing of the lands and Tenemts: belonging to this hospitall
be applied to for the Sealing and Executing the same.

And whereas It appeares by the report of the said Comittee
att a meeting thereof in the hospitall hall the 18th: day of March anno:
Dui 1686 upon a Tre [..] then had wth. John phelips Esqr. for a further time to
be added to the terme which he now hath in a certaine messuage or Tenemt
and land wth:th appurts scituate lying and being in Sunberry in tye county
of Middx in the Occupacon of the said John phelops his Undr: tennts: or Assignes
wch: belong to & are by him holden of his Hospitall by vertue on an Indenture of
Lease there of now inspected bearing date the 29th: day of Novembr: anno Dui
1666 and upon due Consideration had of the report of the viewers of the
premisses and of the needfull disburstmts: of above £200: already made by the
said John Phelips< no role > in new Building upon the [..] direcon complacon of his
haveing an Additionall Terme in the same The Comittee Came to the
Following Agreemt: with the said John Phelips concerning the same (to wit)
That he the said John Phelips< no role > the Execr: ad [..] ge assignes shall fortwith pay
into the hands of the Trear or Clerk of this hospitall for the time being
for th use of this Hospitall the sume of £130: for a lease agreed to be made
inconvenient tune to him the said John Phelips< no role > or to his Execr: admors or assd:
of the premisses by Indr: for a terme of 21 years to comence at the Expiracon
of the said terme granted by the said Former Indr: at and under the life
rent of £10 p Ann: asis reserved in [..] by the [..] former Indr: of Lease
