being Signified to the then Treasurer he the
said Trear with two Gent. of the Governors
attended his Lordship & Shew'd to him &
some of the Aldermen an extract from
the Reportory of this Hospital whereby
it appear'd that from the year 1649
every Court for the Choosing of a President
was held by the Treasurer And thereupon
the said Lord Mayor was pleased to
deliver a Letter to the Treasurer desiring
him to hold a Court that day for the
Choosing a President
