Minutes of last Grand Committee held 9th. instant read &
approved.

Mr. Treasurer acquainted this [..] Comittee
thatthepart of the Counting house & Yard held
with Mr Baxters house near Cheapside Conduct
but belonging to Christs Hospital has been View'd
and it appears that Mr Porter upon taking the
Plan now annex'd to Mr Baxters Lease was
misled by Mr Edwards the late Tenant who told
him the Hospl. ground entended quite through
the Building & Yard And it further appears
that the said part of the Compting house and Yard are
comprized in a Lease from Christs Hospl. made
toAdams datfor 51 Years
fromand that the said Lease to Adams
is now possessed by Mr Oldcoop an Attorney in
Warwick Court near Greys Inn who demands a
rent for the said part of the Compting house & Yard

That Mr Edwards by concealing from Mr Baxter
that any part of the Compting house belonged to
Christ' Hospl. Prevailed with him to give
£50 for the benefit of Mr Edwards Agreement
with this Hospital so that Mr Baxter insists
he ought to have the whole he has taken
made good to him for the term he has under
this Hospl.
