Jeffery's Lease.


Mr. George Barnadiston< no role > Proposes on the
behalf of Mr. Jefferys who is Undertennts. to Mr.
Spires of the Same House. 120: Guineas Fine,
and the Old Ground Rent of £4 P Ann:He
Afterwards offerred £10: P Ann: Ground Rent
Tax Free and £100: FineWhereupon It was
Agreed to Grant a Lease of the sd House to the sd
Mr. George Barnadiston for 21: Years from
Midsumr: 1726: when the Old Lease Expires at
£10: P Ann: Tax Free, for a Fine of £100: to
be paid down.

He Gave 10s:6d: to Poors Box

Mr. Airay Tennant of the New House on ye
North Side of the Hospitall Gate Desired Leave
to make a Chimney in the Front Cellar which
he now letts out for Selling of Wine. This Comittee
Agreed to take a Veiw of the said Cellar at the
Rising of the Committee in Order to See whether
it be Proper to Grant the Same or not Or if Pper
to have the said Cellar continued to be used for Selling
of Wine The Door thereof adjoyning to the
Hospitall Gateway.

Mr. Fowler (Dyer) Proposed for a Lease of
the House in St. Thomas's late Ester Bateman< no role > s
for 38: Years from the End of the Present Lease
which Expires in 1737: to Give £20: Fine and
the same Ground Rent of £2:15s: P Ann Which
Offer was Refused as much below the Value, It
appearing upon a View That the House was
worth abt: £12: P Ann: And there are but 12: Years
to come in the Present Lease.
