The Covering of Galtons Vaults in the first Court of this
Hospitall, and makeing a new Draine backwards from the
Wards on the Northside of that Court, And Repairing &
altering the Chappell were Reported by Mr Treasurer
and approved by this Committee.

Mr. Trear also Reported, That Mr Fredericks Legacy
of £5000: had been lately reced by him without Interest
by the Consent of Severall of the Gentleman of this
Committee who were Sumoned by Mr Trears direccon
to meet at Bridges Coffeehouse to consider whether
Interest should be Insisted upon or not. This Comittee
well approved of Receiveing the said Legacy without
Insisting upon Interest: And Thanks were given to
Mr Trear for what he had done therein

Upon Reading the Minutes of last Comittee,
Mr: Trear informed this Comittee, That Mr: Ashton.
Mr. Coward & Mr: Laffells had insisted to be
Excused this Yeare from Serving as Stewards
And that Mr: Joseph Davis< no role > had Agreed to
Serve in one of their rooms, but by reason
of the Shortnesse of the since, He could not
meet with Two Other Gentlemen, to make up
the number Ten And he had therefore printed
the Ticketts for this Generall Court with the names
of Eight Stewards only which was Approved
by this Comittee And the Rest of the Minutes of
the sd last Comittee, were also Approved:

Agreed That it be Recomended to the General
Court, to Give Our Steward A Gratuity of
Ten Pounds for his Extraordinary Care & Diligence
this Yeare in the Hospitall Service.

Agreed That it be Recomended to the Generall
Court as the Opinion of this Comittee, That the
Money to be paid for the Burying of any Officer
