to the Dr: & Surgeons , is Ordered as a Debt,
in regard the Comd: could not Issue it under
any other head;

Whereupon this Comittee takeing the
whole Matter into their Serious Consideration
& weighing the severall Allegacons & Suggestions
sett forth in the Two Representacons signed by
Dr: Torless & Mr: Elton, Mary whereof are
[..] not true in Fact others tend to place in themselves
the Merritt of Provideing in an extraordinary
manner for the Admission & Cure of Seamen
in this Hospll: which is wholly owing to the Governors: of this
House, And the Designe [..] of the sd Representacons
and of the Proceedings thereupon being to
Establish a Debt to the Physitian & Surgeons
of this Hospll: after the Rate of 6s:8d: P
Head for every Seamen's Cure, And the it
Appearing aswell from the Warrant for these
Payment as from their Receipts, that this
Money was Issued as a Debt for Attendance Medicines &
Curesare Attendanceof the Sick & Wounded
Seamen in this Hospll: And that they received
it as such, and not as a Gratuity, which
if so Yet ought not to have been taken without the
Consent of the Comittee of this Hospll: which
upon Search does not appeare to have been
ever oblained; And for that an Allowance of this or this or the like Kalure
hath been alwayes expected & often applyed for on behalfe of the Hospll: itself
This Comittee doth therefore Agree
with the former Comittee in the Suspension
of the sd Docr: Torlesse & Mr. Elton and
Continues the same dureing the Pleasure
of this Comittee

Ordered that Dr: Torlesse & Mr: Elton be
accquainted there with, And that it is the
