The Grand Committee of the Governors of this Hospital
are fully Pursuaded that the Estate at Comberton which
your Bro. Holder Rents of the said Governors is not any
way Chargeable to the Landtax or if it is so, it is very
triffling being of little or no more Value now than it
was before the Year 1693 and is therefore Exempted by
Act of ParliamentNotwithstanding the Committee
complied this Exemption they do not choose intirely
to avail themselves of the Benefit of the said Acct but
are willing that the Estate should be Rated to the Land
tax at £30& one moreYou are therefore desired
by the said Committee to acquaint your Brod Holder with
their Resolution immediately on Receipt of this Letter
and also that He must not by any means pay more
then the Tax for the said £30if the Collectors or any
other person on his Refusal of paying their exorbitant
& unjustifialle Demand should make a Distress on
his Effects the Governors well in such Case indemnify
him and also will try the Off issue of a Suit at Law
in one of the Courts at Westminster
