Gentn.
It is a long time since I honbled you with a Letter
to desire that you would pay the Rent due to this Hospital
and also to Sign your Lease with his at the Compling
House for that purpose but as I have not been Favour'd
with your Answer relative thereto which one might
reasonably have expected I must take the liberty of
telling you that it is not treating me with that
Civility which is due from one Person to another [..]
And in consequence thereof [..] must tell You in
plain Terms that Unless you pay all or the greater
part of the Rent due at Michas last & Execute your
Lease & this once within afortnight you may depend
that the Affair will be part in the hands of our
Attorney or a Distress made apron the Premisses
which of the two He shall think most Agreeable
to the Interest of this Hospital and that without
any further Notice

I am directed by Mr: Treasurer to acquaint you
that Tis expected you should forthwith Remitt a year &
half or at least a year & Quarters Rent as you are two Years in
Arrear at Michaelmas lastI hope you went give me
the trouble of any further Application
