Sr:
By Order of Mr Treasr. I have sent You the inclos'd Copy
of a Proposal for taking as Lease of the Colliery at Tibshelfe And in order
to enable the Govrs. to form a Judgemt. on what Terms it may be proper to
Grant such a Lease Mr Treasr: desires You will enquire into theAbilities
Characters of the Proposers with regard to their Abilities & Integrity,
& get the best Information You can of the Nature of such, Agreemts. by
consulting some Persons well acquainted with them & that has been engaged
in such Works, but not now concern'd in any Colliery; and that you would
likewise consider whether it would be to the Advantage or Disadvantage
of the Hospl. Tents: at Tibshelfe or in what manner it may affection:
All which Mr Treasr: doubts not you will do in as secret & prudent
a Manner as Possible Andthatas soon as conveniently you can let him
know the Results of yor. Enquiry.

for £132,,1,,3 on Mr Saml Beighton< no role > which is accepted & when paid
shall be placed to Mr. Brooks & the Tibshelfe Tents. Accots:

Comee which the Gent: have complyed with And Mr Treasr: has sent
Orders to Mr. Revan of Lexden near Colchester to call upon you soon
and give Directions for laying the Barn Floor.

Sr:
The Govrs. have Farme called Clay Tye near Horn Church Essex
the Tents: whose name is Benjn. Wright< no role > has applaid for as new Floor to his
Barn which the Gd. Comee have order'd him and Mr Treasr. desires you will
taken the first Opportunity of calling on him & give Directions accordingly
which I recd not tell you Sr, cannot so conveniently be done when the Corn is
in the Barn
