are call'd worth about 6s/8d an acre which we
cannot but think too low a Valuation because
the neighbouring Lands go generally at 10s to
12 & 14 an acre & our very Tenants that lett
any of their Farmes or part of them get a
great deal more rent in proportion tho' the
Lands be not of the best

I have recd yours of the 28th, past as Mr Kettle by inform'd
youI wrote you a Letter the 20th, of that month
desireing you to give me information of the
Particulars of the Vallue of the Hospital Estate
& your judgment about it so as that the Hospital
might be enabled to Judge the better of it when
it will come to be Lett Etc, of which Letter you
make no maner of mention so that I know
not whither it be come to your hands or not
so that I must waite your Answer & the
sooner the better
I Observe what you write about Mom person
& Jackson their usage of Brucks
Mr. Chitty requires me to take 1/3 of the bill when he
pays it, in portugal gold which is not so currant
as other money, I Supose you dont make any
such agreement.
