Hele as such Surveyor as aforesaid might approve
of the same a that he might point out any
defect or unpropriety if such there might be
but that such several applications of the
said David Sands< no role > to the said John Hale< no role > were
of no effect as this Deponent was informed and
verily believes and this Deponent also saith
that he did some time after by the direction of the
said David Sands< no role > personally serve the aforesaid
John Hale at his house in Charlotte Street aforesaid
with a Notice in writing requiring his attendance
to inspect the said Building And that upon
such service this Deponent recd. a Message from
the said John Hale to the said David Sands< no role >
perporting that he the said John Hale would call
in the course of a day or two and inspect the said
Buildings erections and premises or in words to
that effect and also that this Deponent on
receiving such Message from the said John Hele
particularly requested he would not fail coming
for that as he this Deponent was the Brick layer
employed he was liable to a penalty if he did
any thing contrary to act of Parliament and was
fearful of trusting to his own Judgment that
the said John Hale then assured him he certainly
would come but that he never did this Deponent
verily believesAnd this Deponent also further
saith that he solemuly believes [..]
[..] that the said John Hale altho
frequently requested verbally both before and since
the delivery of the said [..] notice to inspect.
