Middlesex (to wit).Be it Remembered that on the Fifth day of October in the Year of our
Lord One thousand seven hundred and Ninety Nine at the Public Office in High Street in the Parish
of Saint Paul Shadwell in the County of Middlesex Edward Camber< no role > of the said Parish and County
Mariner came before me John Staples< no role > Esquire one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the
said County of Middlesex residing near the Peace whore the Offence herein after mentioned was
Committed and informed me the said Justice that Solomon Hart< no role > of the precinct of Saint
Catherine in the said County of Middlesex Labourer being a Hawker Peacer and Petty
Chapman and trading person going from town to town and an board Ships and travelling
on Foot Carrying to sell and exposing to Pale Goods Wares and Mer [..] dige On the twenty third
day of September in the year of our La [..] one thousand seven hundred and Ninety nine in the
Parish of Saint Dunstan Stebonheath otherwise Shepury in the said County of Middlesex Did
Trade and was then and there Found trading as such Hawker, [..] Petty Chapman and
trading person carrying to sell and Exposing to sale divers goods wares and [..] and [..]
(to wit) Watch Chains Watch Keys and Bazor, Shops without such Licened as is required
by the Statute in that Case made and provided, Contrary to the form of the Statute in that
Case made and provided Whereupon the said Solomon Hart< no role > being duly Sammounded to
answer the said Charge appeared before me and having heard the Charge contained in the
said Information and being asked of me the said Justices if he was Guilty of the Offence
charged upon him in the said Information then and there pleaded that he was Not
Guilty of the said Offence whereupon the same was Fully Proved upon the batles of John
Firrn [..] ore and Ebenezer Johnston< no role > two Credible Witness and therefore it Manifestly
appearing to me that the said Solomon Hart< no role > is Guilty of the Charged in the said
Information I Do hereby Conviot him of the said Offence charged that he
hath forfeited the Sum of Ten Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be
distributed as the Law directs according to the form of the Statute in such Case made
and provided; Given under my Hand and Seal the Eighth day of October in the
said year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Nine.
