To the Worshipful His Majestys Justices for the
County of Middlesex in Session Assembled

The Humble Petition of Richard Murthwaite< no role >

Sheweth

That your Petitioner was on the 5th dy of January
1799 Convicted before Henry James Pye< no role > and Joseph Moses< no role >
Esquires two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said
County of Middlesex upon the Oath of William Kettle< no role > in the
penalty of Five pounds for demanding and receiving of the
said William Kettle< no role > one Penny as Profit upon two Shillings
sent by your Petitioner upon a Pawn of a Pair of Hose Otherwise
a pair of Stockings to the said William Kettle< no role > in the name
or under the Description of Mr. Roberts one penny being more
than at the late of One halfpenny for the Loan of any Sum
not exceeding the sum of two Shillings and six pence
by the Calender Months including the Current months in
Which the said Paron was received contrary to the Statute etc
by Which Conviction your Petitioner conceive himself aggreived

And thereof your Petitioner Appeals
to this Court against the same and prays
that your Worships will hear him theon
and Grant him such Relief as his Cave
Requires and that a day may be appointed
for the hearing and determining the same

And your Petitioner will ever pray Etc
