To the Worshipful his Majesty's Justices of the
County o Middlesex in Session assembled

The Humble Petitioner of Richard Murthwaite< no role >

Sheweth

That your Petitioner was on the 3d day of January
1799 convicted before Henry James Pye< no role > and Joseph Moses< no role >
Esquires two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said
County of Middlesex upon the Oath of William Settle< no role > in
the Penalty of Five Pounds for demanding and receiving
of the said William Kettle< no role > one penny as profit upon two
shillings lent by your Petitioner upon a Pawn of a Waistcoat
to the said William Kettle< no role > in the name or under the Description
of Mr. Catel one Penny being moe than at the rate of one
half penny for the Loan of any Sum of exceeding the Sum
of Two Shillings and six Pence by the Calender Months including
the Current Month in which the said Pawn was received-
Contrary to the Statute Etc. by which Conviction your-
Petitioner conceived himself agrieved

And therefore Your Petitioner Appeals to
this Court against the same and prays that
your Worships will hear thereon and
grant him such Relief as his case requires
and that a day may be appointed for the
hearing and determining the same

And your Petitioner will ever pray Etc
