To Cranley Thomas Kerby< no role > Esqr . one of his
Majestys Justices of the Peace in and for the
said County & also to Joseph Sowerby< no role > }

Take Notice that I Henry Cooper< no role > of Market Lane in the Parish
of Saint James within the Liberty of Westmr in the County of
Middlesex Victualler think myself aggrieved by the Judgement
of you the said Cranley Thomas Kerby whereby you convicted me on
the 22d day of Septr instant upon the Prosecution of you the said
Joseph Sowerby of an Offence for setting up maintaining & keeping
a certain Fradulent Game to be determined by the chance of
Dice under the denomination of the Game of Hazard do intend to
being & Prosecute an appeal from the Sd. Judgement of you the
Sd C.J. Kerby to the next General Quarter Session of the Peace for
the sd. County to be held at the Sessions House Clerkenwell Green on the
22d day of Oct next & that I the sd. Henry Cooper< no role > do Intend on
Tuesday the 25 day of Sepr. instant at 6 of the Clock in the Eveng
of the same day to Enter into a Recognizance with 2 Sufficient
Sureties before you the sd. C J Kerby & such other of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the sd County as shall be then Present at the
Public Office near Queen Square Westmr. on Condition to try such
Appeal at the sd next Quarter Sessions pursuant to the statute
