To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint JOHN , at HACKNEY, in the said County of Middlesex ,
and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Billericay in the County of Essex
and to every of them, and to all others whom These may Concern.

Wm Brodie< no role >
V. [..]

Whereas, Complaint has been made unto Us, two of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace acting in and for the said County of Middlesex ,
(one being of the Quorum) by the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Saint JOHN, at HACKNEY, in the said County, That
William Burtwell< no role > hath
lately come and intruded into the said Parish of Saint JOHN, at HACKNEY ,
in the said County of Middlesex , contrary to Law, and is become chargeable
to the said Parish of Saint JOHN, at HACKNEY. And upon Examination
into the Truth of the Premises, and touching the Place of the last legal
Settlement of the said William Burtwell< no role >
taken before Us upon Oath, it appeareth unto Us, and
We do adjudge, That the said William Burtwell< no role >
is become chargeable to the said Parish of Saint JOHN, at HACKNEY , and
that the said Parish of Billericay in the said County of Essex
is the Place of his last legal Settlement.

These are therefore, in His Majesty's Name, strictly to charge and com-
mand you, the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint JOHN, at HACKNEY, or one of you, forthwith to remove
and convey the said William Burtwell< no role >

from and out of your said Parish of Saint JOHN, at HACKNEY, in and to the
said Parish of Billericay and deliver him (together with
this Precept) to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some
or one of them, who are hereby required to receive and provide for him
according to Law. Given under our Hands and Seals the fourth Day
of October in the Year of our Lord 1798.
