To the Church-Wardens and overseers of the Poor of the Hamlet of
RATCLIFFE , in the Parish of St. Dunstan, Stepney , in the
County of Middlesex , and to the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Recinder Parish of St. Katherineby the Tower in the
County of Middlesex

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, two of
His Majesty's Justices of the Peace acting in and for the
County of Middlesex aforesaid (one whereof being of the Quorum)
by the Church-Warden and Overseers of the Poor of the Said
Hamlet of Ratcliffe , That Catherine Ford< no role > , Widow of John Fords< no role > [..]
and her five Children, lawful issue by her said late Husband, viz. John< no role >
Elizabeth< no role > Francis< no role > Mary< no role > , and Ann< no role > as also a Daughter named catherine
Letgen
< no role > , by her former Husband Martin Letgen< no role >

lately intruded, and came into the
said Hamlet of Ratcliffe , and are
become chargeable to the same:We, the said Justices, upon
Examination of the Premises upon Oath, and other Circumstances, do
adjudge the same to be true, and do also adjudge the Place of the
last legal Settlement of the said Catherine Ford< no role > , and her said five Children vit
John Aged about Nine Years, Elizabeth aged about seven Years, Francis aged about
Five Years. Mary aged about three Years, And Ann aged Six Months is in the Parish of
St Katherine by the Town in the County of Middlesex and we do also adjudge the
Place of the Last legal Settlement of her said Daughter Catherine Letgen< no role > aged about
Twelve years by her former Husband Martin in also in the said Parish of St.
Katherine by the Tower in the County of Middlesex

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name to require you,
the said Church-Warden and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Hamlet of Ratcliffe , on Sight hereof, to remove and convey the
said Catherine Ford< no role > , and her said Five Children Viz. John, Elizabeth
Francis, Mary, and ann and alisher Daughter Catherine Letgen

from and out of your said Hamlet of Ratcliffe to the said Parish of Saint
Katherine by the Tower in the County of Middlesex
aforesaid

and them deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order, or a true Copy hereof, who are hereby required to
receive and provide for them according to Law. Given under
our Hands and Seals this 19th. Day of January-1798.
