Dofence of the Prisoner, who having heard the prceeding Information
sayth that the Ducks wch. he shot wild Ducks & one Mellard & that
he shot the whole Quantity on Saturday; But was Contradicted by
the Evidences in his Presonal dcoloring that any of the Ducks in May
piched had White Feather with & Crown upon its Head or Tuft of
Feathers & that they were remarkatly large & altho they every pickd
about six or Seven o' Clock the Blood was fresh & the Bodies of the
Ducks other ever on than Cold; and farther that soon after
their first Examination, he went to them to the Cage, gaves them a
Shilling promising to give them more as long as he had any Money
& Particular requesting them; To by Bottom

The Prisoner acknowledged that he keeps a Given is and had been lift
with him about Twelves South to repair & that he want out to
try the said Green & that he killd the said Ducks with the sd. gean
in the Marskes
