To the Worshipful his Majesty's Justices of the
peace acting in and for the County of Middlesex
in General Quarter Session of the Peace for the
said County Assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Mitcham in
the County of Surry

Sheweth


That by Virtue of a certain Order or Pass Warrant
under the Hands and Seals of Nicholas Bond< no role > and Rupert
Clarke
< no role > Esquires Two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in
and for the County of Middlesex and Liberty of Westminster
(one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing Date the Twenty
Sixth Day of September one thousand Seven Hundred and
Ninety Seven Elizabeth Beadle< no role > Wife of Henry Beadle< no role >
who had deserted her was removed and Conveyed from
and out of the parish of St. Clement Danes in the County
of Middlesex and Liberty of Westminster and delivered to
your petitioners being the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of Mitcham in the County of
Surry the said Justices adjudging the last legal Settlement
of the said Elizabeth to be in the said Parish of
Mitcham whereby your Petitioners conceive themselves
to be Agreived

Appeal against the said Order or Pass
Warrant and pray that the hearing and
determining of the said Appeal may be
Adjourned till the next General Session
of the peace to be holden for the said
