To the Worshipful his Majestys Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlesex in their General
Quarter Sessions of the Peace assembled.

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Saint Mary Whitechapel in the
County aforesaid

Sheweth


That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under
the Hands and Seals of Joseph Merceron< no role > and William
Clappeson
< no role > Esquires, two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
in and for the County of Middlesex aforesaid (one whereof being
of the Quorum) bearing date the eighteenth day of October in
the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety
seven Jarvis Loftus< no role > was removed and conveyed from and out
of the parish of Saint Matthew Bethnal Green in the said County
of Middlesex to the said parish of Saint Mary Whitechapel as
the place of the last legal Settlement of the said Jarvis
Loftus
< no role > whereby your Petitioners conceive themselves to be
aggrieved

Your Petitioners therefore humbly beg
leave to Appeal from the said Order and
pray that the said Appeal may be said
unto them, that the hearing and
determining there of may be adjourned
until the next Session of the Peace to
be held for the said County and that
the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the said Parish of Saint
Matthew Bethnal Green , and all others
concerned may be then ordered to attend
And that your Petitioners may have
such Relief herein as to the Court
shall seem meet

And your Petitioners
