Samuel Anderson Harris

for an Assault

James Newman< no role > of Thavies Inn London Gentleman Sollicitor for
the above named Defendant maketh Oath and saith that at the last
General Session of the peace holden in and for the County of Middlesex an
Indictment was preferred and found against the above Defendant
on the Prosecution of James Samuel Anderson Harris for an Assault
to which Indictment the above Defendant William Booth< no role > at the said
last Session Appeared and pleaded Not Guilty and entered into
Recognizance to Prosecute his Traverse on the said Indictment at the
present Session And this Deponent saith that since the last Session
(to wit) on or about the nineteenth day of December last the above
named Prosecutor James Samuel Anderson Harris was Committed
to His Majestys Gaol of the New Prison to take his Trial at the then
next General Session of Gaol Delivery of Newgate to be holden for the
said County of Middlesex for feloniously wilfully and maliciously
Shooting at one William Clarkson< no role > And the said James Samuel
Anderson Harris Steel remains in Custody for the same And this
Deponent saith that on account of the said James Samuel
Anderson Harris so being in custody as aforesaid for the Felony
aforesaid and being thereby under a disability of Proceeding on the
said Indictment against the said Defendant for the Assault
aforesaid this Deponent did not give Notice of Trial for the said
Defendant nor enter a Venire for the prisons Session.
