To the Worshipful his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex in their General Quarter Session of the Peace assembled

The Humble Petition and appeal of the
Churchwardens and overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields in the
Said county.

Sheweth

That by virtue of a pass Warrant or Order under the
hands and Seals of John Devaynes< no role > Esquire and Sir Benjamin
Tebbs< no role > Knight two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace acting in
and for the City and Liberty of Westminster in the said County
bearing date the 15th.. day of October 1796 Mary Thompson< no role >
Singlewoman was removed and conveyed from and out of the
Parish of Saint Martin in the fields within the Liberty of
Westminster aforesaid to the said Parish of St. Giles in the fields
as the Place of her last legal Settlement whereby your
Petitioners conceive themselves to be Aggreived

Your Petitioners therefore humbly appernt
to this Court against the adjudication of their
Said Two Justices and their said Order and
Pray that Your Worships will be Pleased
to appoint a day in this Present Session
for the hearing and Determining their saw
