To the Worshipful His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County
of Middlesex ; in this General Session of the Peace assembled-

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Botolph Aldgate in
the County of Middlesex .

Sheweth,


That by Virtue of a Warrant or Order under the Hands and Selasn
of John Nares< no role > and John Staples< no role > , Esquires , Two of His Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the said County, one being of the Quorum, bearing Date the
Third Day of February instant, Catherine Carter< no role > , Widow , was removed
from the Hamlet of Ratcliffe , in the Parish of Saint Dunstan Stepney ,
in the County of Middlesex , to the said Parish of Saint Botolph Aldgate
as the Place of her last legal Settlement,

Your Petitioners conceiving themselves aggrieved by the said
Warrant or Order do humbly Appeal against the same; and pray
your Worships will be pleased to appoint a Day in this Present
Session that all Parties concerned may attend to hear and abide
the Judgment and determination of the said Court touching
the said Appeal

And your Petitioners shall ever pray, Etc.

At the General Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King-
holden for the County of Middlesex at the Session House on Clerkenwell
Green in the said County (by adjournment) on Monday the Fifteenth
Day of February in the Thirty Sixth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the Third King of Great Britain France and Ireland
Defender of the Faith, Etc.

It is Ordered by this Court that the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Hamlet of Ratcliffe in the Parish of Saint Dunstan
Stepney in the County of Middlesex have Notice of this Appeal, and
that they and all Parties concerned do Attend this Court on Thursday
next at Nine O'Clock in the Forenoon, to hear and abide the
Judgment and determination of this Court touching the said
Appeal
