Wandsworth
in the County of Surrey

Sheweth
That by an Order bearing date the 26th. day of August
1795 under the Hands and Seals of Mich. Downs< no role >
and R. Johnson
Esquires
two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
within the
City and Liberty of Westminster
in the County of Middlesex
grounded
on the Complaint of the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Saint James
within the said City and County, for
that Dessemay Peckford< no role >
widow of John Peckford< no role >
had lately
intruded and come into the said Parish of Saint James
and
become chargeable.
That the said Mich. Downs< no role >
and R. Johnson upon
examination of the Premises upon cath and other Circumstances
did adjudge the same to be true and did also adjudge the Place
of the last legal Settlement of the said Dessmay Peckford to be in
your Petitioners said Parish of Wandsworth
By which said order
your Petitioners think themselves Aggrieved
Your Petitioners humbly pray, That your Worships
will take th same into consideration, and grant
them such relief as the nature of their case
May require.
And
Your Petitioners Shall ever pray.
