Thomas Searle< no role > and his Wife were preferred had he received
notice for that purpose or been apprized that it was necessary
for him so to do And this Deponent further Saith that
the said Humphrey Tomkison< no role > desired the said James
Paul
< no role > to leave the said Letter or Notice with him and that
he would attend at the Office of the Clerk of the Peace
on that or the following day and settle the Business
and that he the said James Paul< no role > need not be uneasy
or give himself any further trouble about it And this
Deponent further Saith that in a few days afterwards
he this Deponent met the said James Paul< no role > who
informed this Deponent that he had seen the said
Humphrey Tomkison< no role > and that he told him he had
settled the business and this Deponent Sarah Paul< no role >
for herself Saith that the said James Paul< no role > her Husband
left this Deponent about three Weeks ago and informed
this Deponent he was going to the East Indies And this
Deponent further Saith that she hath since received a
Letter from her said Husband informing her he should
set sail in a few days bat where he now is this Deponent
doth not Know nor can setforth but verily believes he
already has or will shortly leave this Kingdom on a
Voyage to the East Indies as aforesaid And this Deponent
further Saith that her said Husband has left her in
very destitute circumstances and far advanced in Pregnancy
