The Information of John Nichols< no role > of Charlotte Street
in the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the said
County Cordwainer or Taken and Sworn before the this
6th August 1795.

Who saith That on or about the Twenty fourth day of
Jane last the Prisoner Elizabeth Bridger< no role > called at his
Shop, and told him she served his Shop before he came
in it with Pepper Etc. and thattold beenshe had some
Pepper to sell She Produced the Composition now
Produced commonly called P: D. and said it was real Pepper,
that this Informant believing what she said to
be true, bought the same and paid her five Shillings
for it, being after the rate of a Penny per ounce
and this Informant saith that the Prisoner obtained
the five Shillings fran him with intent to the at and
defraud him of the same.
