in the said County
Serjeant in
onthe Fife shire Fencible Regiment
commanded by Col. Durham Taken on Oath this
2d. day of February 1795.
Who saith That this day he was in the Tap Room of the
Duke of Northumberland Public House in Worship Street
Shoreditch
, while he was there, the Prisoner Richard Bladon< no role >
asked this Informant to Inlist him, this Informant said he
Would if he was Free, Willing and Able the Prisoner said
he was perfectly sound, and this Informant then gave him two
shillings and inlisted him to serve as a Soldier
in the above
Regiment, when the Prisoner got the Money in his Possession
he laughed at this Informant and said he must have a Coach
and Pretended to be came, and this Informant saith that he
has been told that the Prisoner has been on the a Paractice of obtaining
Money from different Recreciting Parties by false Pretences
and this Informant saith further that the Prisoner Knownigly
obtained the two Shillings as aforesaid with intent to chest and
defraud this Informant of the same.
