Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the same County.
Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Edmonton
in the County of Middlesex
Have at this present Session Exhibited their petition and
appeal setting forth That by an Order under the Hands and Seals of R. Davis Esqr
and
H Reynett Clerk
two of His Majestys Justices of the peace
acting in and for the said County
bearing date the Eighth day of December 1792 Sarah Currell< no role >
and five of her Children namely
Jane< no role >
aged about Twelve Years Ann< no role >
aged about Ten years, Mary< no role >
aged about eight years
Lydia< no role >
aged about Six Years and James< no role >
aged about Four Years were by the said Justices
Order removed from the Parish of Saint Leonard Bromley
in the said County and adjudged
to have their lawful settlement in the said Parish of Edmonton
and did thereby require the
petitioners to receive and provide for them as Inhabitants of the said Parish whereby
the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved
NOW, upon hearing the said Appeal, and what hath been alledged by the respective
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parishes, their Counsel and Witnesses in
and concerning the Premises, IT IS ORDERED, that the said Appeal be, and the same is
hereby allowed, and the said Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside;
and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Edmonton
do forthwith convey and
deliver back the said Sarah Currell< no role >
and her said Five Children
(together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Leonard Bromley
who are hereby required to
receive they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course of Law.
