To the Worshipful His Majesty's Justices of the Peace acting in and for the
County of Middlesex in General Quarter Session of the Peace for the said
County Assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Saint Martin Ludgate in the City of London

Sheweth


That by virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the hands and Seals of
AlexanderGaron Graham Esquire and Rupert Clarke< no role > Esquire two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace in and for the County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing
Date the twelfth day of December one thousand seven hundred and ninety two whereby
Thomas Jones< no role > and Anne< no role > his wife were removed and conveyed from and out of the Liberty
of Saffron Hill Hatton Garden and Ely Rents in the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn in
the County of Middlesex and delivered to your Petitioners being the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Martin Ludgate in the City of London (the
said Justices adjudging the place of the last legal Settlement of the said Thomas Jones< no role >
and Anne< no role > his Wife to be in the said Parish of Saint Martin Ludgate in the City of London ) whereby your
Petitioners apprehend themselves to be aggrieved

Your Petitioners therefore humbly appeal against the said
Order or Pass Warrant and pray that your Worships will be
pleased to appoint a Day in this present Session for the hearing
and Determination thereof
