The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of said Gregory by Saint Paul in the City of London

Sheweth

That by virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the Hands and Seals of
William Addington< no role > Esquire and The Reverend Herbert Mays< no role > Doctor of Divinity
two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the County of Middlesex (one
where of being of the Quorum) bearing Date the thirteenth day of November one
thousand seven hundred and Ninety two Jane Lee< no role > Singlewoman was removed
and conveyed from the Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields in the County of
Middlesex and delivered to your Petitioners being the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Gregory by Saint Paul in the said
City of London (the said Justices adjudging the place of the last legal Settlement
of the said Jane Lee< no role > to be in the said Parish of Saint Gregory whereby your
Petitioners apprehend themselves to be aggreived
