To his Majesty's Justice's of the Peace
Acting for the County of Middlesex at the
Session House on Clerkenwell Green

May it please your Workships

Whereas Timothy Smith< no role > of Red Lyon Street
St. John Clerkenwell who was chosen Headborough
for that Parish refusing to serve himself, has had
the William Weaver< no role > sworn in before Rupert Clerk< no role >
Esqr. as in substitute, I humbly pray for the
[..] casont such swearing is may be abrogate
and the said Timothy Smith< no role > be oblidged to be sworn
in himself, or find a more fit person to serve in
his room

Reasons why
Wm. Weaver is
not a fit person it}

1st This not residing in the Parish of
St John Clerkenwell

2nd. The having kept a private Lottery
office when in office before for several

3rd. This having three sons, that are
repected Thieves, (one of whom has been convicted of
Felony by your Workships) pasing from his house
to houses of ill fame, whereby my life may be in
endangered, or at least the park in tensions of your Worship
precepts instructed
