the Day being to for spent to go into the Consion of the proper
Steps to be taken for raising money for Pure having the Ground & building the
new Ho: of Corr:

Resolved that this Court be adjourned
to the 7th day of September next at 11 o Clock to take
into consideration the proper Steps for raising the Sum
of Money necessary for purchasing Ground and building a
New House of Correction & other matters relative thereto

Mr. Chairman Slated to the Court that
he had received the following Letter from the Society of
"people called Quakers Vizt. Respected Friend Wm. Mainwaring< no role > Esq
"In order to explain with precision the intention of our late
"application to the we taken the liberty of stating that, the
"Society of the people called Quakers in London not
"having yet determined on a suitable place for the Antient
"part of their Family would willingly retain the Old House
"for a short time longer than their present Term which
"expires the 11th day of next Month, if it be agreable
"to the Justices of the County of Middlesex ; but as their
"new Building is now nearly completed, the remaining
"part of the £1600 for which they sold the premises
"will be wanted in the time herebefore agreed upon, they
"therefore wish after the Surrender of the said premises
"& the receipt of the £1200 to remain as Tenants
"mutually to quit of 3 months Notice we are
"they Friends, Richd Chester< no role > , Wilson Birkbeck< no role > London
"8th Month 16th 1786 - the favor of a line addressed to
"Richard Chester< no role > Bush Lane Cannon Sheet will be acceptable
