very carefully examined Article by Article, It was Moved
that £400 be paid to Jacob Leroux< no role > Esq in full discharge
of the Sum of £629.14 being the amount of such Bills
if he shall think proper to accept the same, which being
Seconded was carried in the affirmative and Mr. Leroux
being acquainted therewith and having agreed to accept the
same infull discharge of the said Sum of £629..14-

Ordered that the Clerk of th peace
do make out an order [..] on the Treasurer of this County for payment offorthe said Sum
of £400payableto the said Jacob Leroux< no role > Esq accordingly

The Clerk of the peace having read the
Order of this Court of the
appointing a Select Committee for Conducting the Business of
the Building of the new intended House of Correction for this
Committee reported from them that they find it a necessary
part of the Contracts which are preparing to other publickly to
Contractors, that is should be stated at what periods and by
what installments the amount of any contract should be
paid and that the Committee conceive no power is given
by the order of reference to make such statement, and
they therefore desired thatthe Commrs humbly prayingthe same mightmaymight be taken
into consideration and that such and that such an Order might be made as to
the Sessions shod.mayappear [..] to be must proper
and The same being accordingly taken into Comion

Resolved that the select Committee Etc be
& they are hereby empowered to insert in the Contract such modes of payments
as shall appear to them to be most expedient & for the interests
& benefit of the County
