for an Assault

Elizabeth Manning< no role > of Shorts Gardens in the
Parish of Saint Giles in the fields in the County of
Middlesex Widow maketh Oath and Saith that
the Deponent was on the twentysecond day of September
last bound over by an Certain Recognizance for her
personal Appearance in October session last to Answer
to an Indictment for making an Assault on the
above prosecutrix And this Deponent further saith
that she this Deponent being Willing to but the above
matter caused different Notice of Trial to be prepared
in order to have served the said Prosecution but the said
Prosecutrix since the preferring the said Indictment
hath absconded to prevent being saved with the said
Notice of Trial but this Dept hath since both by herself
and affirend of this Deponent hath Applied at several
places where she was Informed she resided and particularly
at no 34 Cursitor Street Chanesly Lane where this
Deponent was Informed was her last place of abode or
residence but this Deponent on going to the said house found
that the said house was shut upo And upon Inquiry after
the said Prosecutrix and her Land Lord in the said neighbour
hood no person could inform that Dept where they could be
found

Session of the Peace more holden in and
for the County of Middlesex by Adjournment
in and for the County of Middlesex at the Sessions
house situate on Clerkenwell green in the county aforesd
this 25th day of April 1776}
