Thomas Chappel< no role > for an
Assault

Andrew Bowdler< no role > of Clerkenwell Green in the Parish
of Saint James Clerkenwell maketh Oath and saith that
he did on Monday this 18th. day of October hear Thomas
Chappel
< no role > the Prosecutior in the above Cause Acknowledge that he
had received by the hands of Robert Blake< no role > the Sum of One
Pound and One Shilling for to Stop at Proceedings upon and
Indictment found against John Thomas< no role > the above named
Defendant at the last July Session for Assaulting him. and
to which said said Indictment the said John Thomas< no role > hath
Pleaded not Guilty and that the further Sum of half a Guinea
was to be Spont for a Supper and this Deponent further on
he Oath Saith that he did hear the said Prosecutor Thomas
Chappel
< no role > say and acknowledge that he for gave the said
John Thomas< no role > the said half Guinea of to be Spent for the said
Supper
