To the Worshipfull His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex in General Session of the Peace at the Sessions House on Clerkenwell
Green in the said County assembled.

The humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
James within the Liberty of Westminster
the said County

Sheweth


That by Virtue of an Order under the Hands
and Seals of William Hyde< no role > and E Kelly Esquires two of His
Majestys Justices of the Peace in and for the City and Liberty of
Westminster aforesaid (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing
date the 25th. day of August last whereby Sarah Roe< no role > Wife of
James Roe< no role > (gone from her) was removed and conveyed from the
Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields within the said Liberty of
Westminster to the said Parish of Saint James as the place of
her last legal Settlement whereby your Petitioners conceive
themselves to be aggrieved

Your Petitioners therefore humbly
Appeal to this Court against the Adjudication
of the said two Justices and their said Order
and pray that your Worships will be pleased
to appoint a Day of hear and determine the
said Appeal

And your Petitioners will ever pray Etc.
