[No. 38. ] To the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Kensington in the
R.B. St. County and to the Church Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of Swinvert
in the County
of Worcester and to each and every of them

UPON the Complaint of the Church Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Kensington
in the said County of Middlesex unto us whose Names
are hereunto fet, and Seals affixed, being two of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County of Middlesex
and one of us of the Quorum, that Elizabeth Johnston< no role >
the Wife of Samuel Johnston< no role > and
who hath Dason and left her and
Ann < no role > then Daughter aged about two
years and an half
did lately come to inhabit in the said Parish of
Kensington not having gained a legal Settlement there, nor
produced any Certificate owning themselves to be settled else-
where, and that the said Elizabeth Johnston< no role > the said
Child Ann
are likely to be chargeable to the said
Parish of Kensington We the said
Justices upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon the Examination
of the said Elizabeth Johnston< no role > upon Oath,
as otherwise, and likewise upon due Consideration had of the Pre-
mises, do adjudge the same to be true ; and we do likewise adjudge,
that the lawful Settlement of her the said Elizabeth
Johnston
< no role > and her said Daughter Ann
is in the said Parish of Swinvert in the said
County of Worcester [..] We do therefore
require you the said Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of Kensington or some or
one of you, to convey the said Elizabeth Johnston< no role >
and her said Daughter
from and out of your said Parish of Kensington
to the said Parish of Swinvert and them
to deliver to the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or
to some or one of them, together with this our Order, or a true Copy
thereof. And we do also hereby require you the said Church Wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said parish of Swinvert
to receive and provide for her as Inhabitant of your
said Parish Given under our Hand and Seals the 8th
Day of October in the Year of our Lord One Thousand
Seven Hundred and eighty three
