To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Leonard, Shoreditch , in the County of Middlesex ,
and to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Norgate in the City of
Canterbury in the County of Kent

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us,
two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace , in and for
the County of Middlesex , (one whereof being of the Quorum)
by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of St. Leonard, Shoreditch , Middlesex , That
John Taylor< no role > Elizabeth his< no role > wife and their
Two Children lawful Issue Namely Thomas< no role >
aged Five years and Elizabeth< no role > aged One
year and upwards have Come to Inhabit
in the parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch
not having gained any legal settlement
there and are
become Chargeable to the same: We the said Justices
upon Examination of the Premises upon Oath, and other
Circumstances, do adjudge the same to be true, and do also
adjudge the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said
John Taylor< no role > , Elizabeth his Wife and
their Two Children is in the Parish
of Norgate in the City of Canterbury
in the County of Kent Aforesaid

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name to require
you the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of St. Leonard, Shoreditch , Middlesex , on
Sight hereof, to remove and convey the said John Taylor< no role >
Elizabeth< no role > his wife and their said
Two Children
from and out of your said Parish of St. Leonard , unto the
said Parish of
Norgate

and then deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or to one of them, together
with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof, who are hereby
required to receive and provide for them according to
Law.

Given under our Hands and Seals this Sixteenth
Day of November [..] 1785
